Homemade Valentine’s Cards

I remember every Valentine I have ever received, from the cootie covered candy in the First grade, to flowers and chocolate from my current squeeze.  Putting a little extra time and thought into something as simple as a Valentine goes a long way!

These handmade Valentines can inspire love in even the most resistant of hearts. And of all the holidays, Valentine’s Day is the holiday where cards are a must!

Make use of those craft supplies you have lying around by fashioning your own unique Valentines.  I found these whimsical cards on Real Simple .

What you’ll need:

  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Thick Paper Stock
  • Buttons
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Pinking Shears

 Directions:

Love Card

  • Form shape of each letter with the pipe cleaners. Glue onto the paper
  • Using the pinking shears, create a decorative edge

 Heart Card

  • Place buttons on card stock making the shape of a heart
  • Secure buttons to the paper with glue

Have other supplies lying around? Cut hearts out of felt or printed fabric, or use ribbon to create a pretty border on your card.
