We recently had the great privilege of executing the first course at the James Beard Foundation Awards Media Dinner. Our executive chef, Matt Greene, collaborated with hosts Matt Lee & Ted Lee of The Lee Bros., and together they created a delicious first course representative of the Lowcountry – crab salad served on endive with sea bean garnish.
Local Charleston media and food lovers came to Duvall’s test kitchen to taste test the dish before it was sent to New York for the main event last week and helped the chefs select the vessel, seasoning and garnish.
