Edmondston-Alston House

Host Your Event at Charleston’s Harborside House Museum

If you’re looking for an event venue with a very rich history, Edmondston-Alston House has a long and unique past. Built circa 1825, the house has been occupied by British merchants, Union forces during the Civil War, and wounded soldiers, before being turned into a famous Charleston museum.

Seated on Charleston's famous High Battery, the house has beautiful panoramic views of the Charleston Harbor and the nearby locale. The combined Federal and Greek Revival architecture is unique to the Edmondston-Alston House, with a large porch offering sweeping scenery and the walled courtyard providing a little shade for guests under the sun.

Despite being open to the public as a museum, Edmondston-Alston House can also operate as an intimate venue for smaller family dinners, social get-togethers, or corporate luncheons.
